This monograph is the research of the history, current condition and perspectives for the development of harmonization of the criminal procedure law of the member states of the European Union, including the impact on this process of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). The author analyzes the social relations arising on the basis of the EU primary law, the European Convention on Human Rights, the EU directives in the field of harmonization of the criminal procedure law and the norm of the national criminal procedure legislation of the EU member states.

The main provisions of the monograph can be used in teaching of the subjects «European Law (European Union Law)», «International Law», special courses and seminars on European human rights law, the European area of freedom, security and justice, international criminal law, criminal procedure law of the foreign states in the process of preparing bachelor and masters in the specialty «Jurisprudence».
