Изучающие английский язык часто сталкиваются со словами, которые абсолютно одинаково звучат, но имеют разное значение и по-разному пишутся. В тексте омофоны узнаваемы легко. Достаточно понять сам котекст. Труднее распознать омофон в устной речи. А чтобы не ошибиться, улосвить смысл сказанного, надо иметь хороший словарный запас. В том числе и омофонов.
