My “To Do” List
What do I do now? Where do I start? This book will help answer those questions and guide you through the maze that you will need to traverse in order to fulfill your new position as a home caregiver for your elderly parent.
This book assumes that your parent has either moved into your home or you have moved into your parent’s home. You are now the sole caregiver for your parent. This means you will be responsible for all of her medical needs, all of her financial concerns, all of her insurance policies, all of her personal needs such as: healthcare, dietary needs, clothing, safety, everything.

I am writing this book because in September, 2007 my mother suffered a stroke while living alone. Consequently she came to live with my husband and me. She lived with us for three years. I am sharing my experience and knowledge with you to help you in your journey. This is not a sugar-coated storybook. You have embarked on a serious undertaking which will change your life forever.
