The book presents the progress and the results of the Central and South-Eastern Europe transformation at the end of XX – at the beginning of XXI centuries. These countries not only significantly changed the socio-political system during this period, but also radically reoriented vector of their foreign policy. The book includes an overview of the modern territory, state symbols, currency, population, religious composition of the region; brief essays on the modern history of these countries, including the political landscape, biographies of the states leaders, data on the socio-political systems and economic policies, with a special focus on the foreign policy toward Russia and other countries, information on international political and military structures membership.
