ОглавлениеPreface
Back in the days of yore, between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, a wizard named Lear lived in the beautiful land of Ireland. His life was unusual and full of trials. The majestic Lear was imprisoned by Queen Serlaila, who longed to use his unique magical abilities to conquer new lands. Lear repeatedly saved the queen from insidious plots, predicting her future and helping her overcome her difficulties.
However, few people knew that the wizard Lear found his writing vocation by accident. Tormented by boredom and a thirst for creativity, he decided to write fairy tales inspired by letters sent to him by his beloved Miretta. In these letters she told him of her adventures and her search for magic, dreaming of a reunion with Lear.
One day Queen Serlaila read some of these tales and, admiring their beauty, decreed that Lear must compose two tales a week. Otherwise, she threatened to deprive the wizard of a finger for each tale that failed to meet the deadline. Incredibly, Miretta, this brave and dedicated soul, spent nearly fifteen years traveling, exploring the world and gathering inspiration for new stories of magic. She hoped that one day she would be able to reunite with her beloved Lear and give him her own amazing stories.
So begins our story of the wizard Lear, his magical abilities, his creative path and the great love that overcomes time and obstacles. Immerse yourself in the world of magic and fairytale adventures that await us on the pages of this book.
Tales of the Wizard Lyr: The Tale of the Lyre and the Great Judges
There are many legends in the world. Which ones are true and which ones are not is for us writers to decide. Some of us make up stories for fun, others for a cause. I know one thing for sure: what I encountered when I arrived in a little-known town called Sovata must once and for all remain a legend! It is better for no one to know what happened when Miretta and I arrived in this wilderness in search of the wizard Micah and his sister Mirela.
Questioning the locals, we wandered from town to town, learning of the amazing exploits of these two young men. My beloved and I had imagined them to be developmentally stunted outwardly (for they were vampires, and their bodies were not known to obey the laws of nature), but those who had encountered them in person assured us otherwise. They had to be about eighteen years old, and I didn't understand why everyone thought they were so much older.
As we searched for my brother and sister, I had gathered a lot of information about their actions over the past few years. There was enough for a whole book! It turned out that here, in Romania, there was a settlement of centaurs who lived deep in the forests where people preferred not to go. Not because they were afraid. There's just not much to do there. So the inhabitants of the nearest villages grouped together and decided to drive these creatures away. You see, attacks on pigs and chickens had become more frequent, and it was easier for people to blame it on half-man half-horse rather than foxes and wolves.
