The spring pulled the bed, and it pressed into the floor. Now I was lying on the smooth plane of an empty room two by two meters. If I were a little taller, I would have to bend down. But I’m already rich – I have my own room! Some huddle in the same ones, but for three or four people. The walls are painted white. It smelled like sterilizers – it looked like the cleaning robot had gotten the job done while I was sleeping.
