Simple decreases take two stitches together to make one stitch. The first two methods are mirror images usually worked in pairs to give a fully-fashioned effect. More complex two-stitch decreases can be used for both shaping and patterning.
Knitting two stitches together is the easiest way to decrease one stitch. The second stitch lies on top and the decrease slants to the right.
