This book is written by a practitioner, not an academic. It is written as much with hindsight as it is with insight. I was a Managing Director who ran two businesses operating in four diverse markets and realised growth in all four.
The title is obviously a play on words. Strictly implies focus and perseverence, the best possible two qualities of the business manager. It is also an acronym for the eight elements that, looking back, characterised my management approach.
I hope this book will be on the bookshelves of those challenged with the day to day responsibility for the growth of a business and used for advice and encouragement from a kindred soul.
