Maggie is a young girl who lives in the small country of Estonia. Her biggest dream is to have a pet. But to her misfortune, her parents won't allow it since she is allergic to animals. Big is Maggie's surprise when she finds a letter from elf Erik, who promises to bring whatever she wishes…. That's how the adventures of 8-year-old Maggie and Pink Rat start. The book is enjoyable reading for elementary- to middle-school age children and is a great collection of goodnight stories for parents who want to spend some quality time with their kids.
