The work deals with the conception of guilt that exists in criminal law of Russia, expounds the problems legislative regulation of its forms, offers a principally new approach to the understanding of the motives of criminal behavior, their classification, to the definition of place and role of the motives in the process of the motivation of behavior, shows the influence of the motives of criminal behavior on the definition of the form, scope and degree of guilt of a person who committed crime, expounds the meaning of the form and degree of guilt, the motives of criminal behavior in order to classify crime, to differentiate and to individualize criminal responsibility.

The work is addressed to researchers, practitioners as well as to professors, postgraduates, and students of law schools.
