Preface

Hello dear friends! And this is a new issue of the newspaper life Day! And in this issue you will see some illustrations, a small excerpt from the work, as well as a new heading history. All sorts of historical facts and so on will be written in it.

History of Russia

Beginning

With this issue, we begin this rather glorious and long historical journey. Today I will tell you a little about the birth of Russia and how it all began. Let's talk about the first Russian prince Slavic tribes. Let's get started!

Slavic tribes

The first who inhabited Russian history (according to legends) these were Slavic tribes. They were divided into northern, eastern and western groups. We will touch on the Eastern Slavs, since most of Russia is located on their former territory. I will name some of the tribes of the Eastern Slavs, Slovene, Krivichi, Chudi, Meri, Vesu.

Rurik

There was the city of Novgorod. The Novgorodians decided to call the prince to reign. They needed a warrior! And the first Russian prince is Rurik.(1 of the Rurik dynasty)

Origin: It is not known exactly who he was, but historians believe that Rurik was a Varangian. In 862, Rurik was called by the Novgorodians and asked to reign. Rurik agreed and from that moment the great Rurik dynasty began. And he sent Askold and Dir to reign on the Kiev land. According to the tale of bygone years, it was said that Rurik had only one son, Igor. Rurik died in 879. Since Igor was small, Oleg came to reign. Oleg was a distant relative of Rurik and the Novgorodians decided to leave him for the reign.
