Prologue Paradise I

Slimy, the Snake, had just bitten

into his own tail end.

Mandy, the Mole, hurried towards him,

bringing tincture of arnica.

She looked after him, heart-warmingly,

and while he, his face contorted

with pain, was lying on his back,

she anointed him

with medicinal herbs.

Slimy fell into a deep sleep,

while Mandy washed her hands

of responsibility,

and God thought:

This was just a narrow escape!
