APPLES IN SYRUP.

Оглавление

Make a thin syrup with sugar and water, season with spice or lemon peel; pare some small-sized apples, whole, and let them boil till tender, but do not let them break if you can help it. Set the apples and syrup by in a deep dish till cold. This makes a cheap dish to eat with bread at tea. It is easily prepared, and is very agreeable, besides being very wholesome.
