New York is one of the most important cities in the world. Just moved as the city itself is also the history of New York. Already in 1524 the area around the Manhattan peninsula was discovered by Giovanni da Verrazzano. However, the discoverer renounced larger explorations.

Only in 1626 bought Peter Minuit by the Indians the land "Manna hatta" and founded the settlement Nieuw Amsterdam. Thus began an unprecedented success story.

New York experienced numerous ups and downs in its history, but could still assert itself as a world metropolis. Today there are more people living than ever before and the numerous attractions and many tourists are lured to the city. New York is a unique place, which houses not only some of the most important companies in the world, but also millions of people from different backgrounds who live together almost peacefully in a confined space. Virtually no other city has so many facets as New York.
