This trap is known as "Detachable Clutch Trap." The trap can be used with or without it. It is made in two sizes Nos. 23 and 24. No. 23 known as the "Otter Clutch" has a spread of jaws of 5½ inches; No. 24 known as the "Beaver Clutch" has a spread of jaws of 6¼ inches.
