ОглавлениеKippie, the little penguin, and his older brother Icy spent all morning building a snow truck. The bed of their snow-truck sloped to the ground. The brothers thought about it a little more and shaped it into a slide.
The sun was bright. It sent a flash of diamonds across the snow, right under the little penguins’ feet. They were nearly done with their truck when their friends Toshka and Taya came out to play.
«What a great snow-truck!» Taya said.
«And with a slide too!» Toshka added.
«Thank you,» the brothers said.
«I brought my paints and brushes,» Taya said. «Can we use them somehow?»
Kippie thought about it for a moment.
«What if we painted the truck in different colors?» he asked.
«Okay!» everyone said.
Icy worked on the final details of the truck, and Kippie and their friends set about painting different things on it. They painted a lightning bolt, several snowflakes, and a few funny faces. Then the friends also drew the letters they learned at school.
«Our truck-slide is ready! Let’s play!» Icy said.
The little penguins took turns sliding down the slide and sitting at the wheel of the truck. When Kippie took a run down the slide, he went too fast, and flew straight into a snow drift. He went down head-first and sank into the snow.
Kono the raven and his friend Naya the plover were watching the little penguins. When they saw Kippie in the snowdrift, the two birds started laughing. They pointed at him and said,
