ОглавлениеBut what is friendship? We consider
(The prejudice we extirpate)
The friends to be the added zero,
We are the figures of high rate.
We’ll be Napoleons, no kidding;
And all these two-legged human beings,
Are just an implement, and thus,
A feel is absurd thing to us.
Onegin had more just perception;
Yes, he had learned the people well,
In general despised all them,
But (are there rules with no exception?)
To some of these he showed respect,
And feels of those did not neglect.
