Chapter II
XXXIX
ОглавлениеSo far, do revel your existence
And easy life, my novel’s friend!
I recognize its worthless essence
And am not scared to see the end;
My eyelids for illusions dropped,
But sometimes distant signs of hope
Disturb my heart: I realize
That it’ll be sad not recognized
To leave this world without traces.
I live and write not for a praise,
But, probably, want to amaze
The world and reveal real graces.
I hope the rhymes I’ve left behind
Will of the poet’s life remind.
