Christmas Eve 1993

It was the day before Christmas, and my hero, my role model and mother had been murdered, and I knew my younger brother had done it. But in spite of the pain and uncertainty, it was a beautiful day in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The sky was blue and clear, and the clouds seemed as white as ever. Seven days after the murder of my mother, I was still living in the hotel, and I hadn’t heard much from the police.
