How strong God is present in your life, appears in your personal environment: in your own home. Perhaps you believe that it is completely sufficient if you have God in your heart. But man is a creature that depends on visual aids. This applies in particular to the realm of faith.

Furnish therefore in your home a place which only belongs to God. This can be a home altar, a prayer corner, a domestic shrine, the surface of your bedside table or a cross on the wall. - This allows you to realize every day that God is present.

A cross in every room does not hurt. In difficult situations or in dark hours, the presence of Christ on the cross can give comfort. A prayer – addressed to Jesus - has already mitigated many conflicts and solved many problems.

Also a nice statue or picture of Mary gives a room a special atmosphere. The Mother of God, which is in the Eastern Church worshiped as "Ekonomissa" (= the guardian of the house), brings peace and blessing in every household. Where Mary lives, the Lord is also present.

If you adore the Blessed Mother with loving attention, Christ will be very delighted, and you will get plenty of graces for this labor of love!

The appreciation of holy pictures or statues has nothing to do with kitsch or sentimentality, but serves as an aid to the deepening of the faith! They remind the faithful each day of the biblical story of the life of Jesus, of God's existence.
