Airliners

The first Great International Paper Airplane Contest, held in 1967, was started because of an airliner. Someone at the Scientific American noticed the resemblance between the brand new Concorde and a paper dart. “If we hold a paper airplane contest,” joked the editors, “we might find the next generation of passenger aircraft.”
