The myth of aries
ОглавлениеAccording to legend Aries or the golden-fleeced ram, as it is also called, is a hero who saves the world. He was born from the god Poseidon and a beautiful nymph, who he turned into a ram in order to protect him from numerous admirers. As a result of their relationship, a lamb with a golden fleece, endowed with the ability to fly, is born in a nymph. He became famous for his help to the mother of two unfortunate children.
The myth about him tells us the story of King Afamant, who had a son Frix and a daughter Gella by his first wife Nefela. But once the king fell in love with the insidious Inu and married her. She became an evil stepmother to the unfortunate children and decided to destroy them. She arranged everything so that they would be sacrificed during a dry, lean year. Then their mother Nephela begs the gods to send them a golden fleece lamb to help them to save her children. The children sit on his back, and he carries them to the distant overseas country of Colchis. However, during the trip, the girl still dies. Halfway through, she looks back and slides into the depths of the sea. The boy is taken to his upbringing by the local king Eet. And he decides to sacrifice the ram himself to the gods, in the hope that this will bring wealth and prosperity to their country. The Golden Fleece is becoming quite famous for the myth of the Argonauts. It was believed that whoever possesses it will become rich and famous, but in fact, except for grief and misfortune, it did not bring anything. Aries, the gods, for the courage and courage shown in saving children, are placed in heaven and honored to carry on themselves the fiery chariot of the sun god Helios, when he begins his annual journey among the stars in the first month of spring. Therefore, Aries is considered the first constellation of the zodiac.
