I welcome this opportunity to honor Art and his work. His sermons were refreshing, inspiring interpretations of Scripture. He had a unique ability to find meaning which made the Scriptures come alive and become more relevant for daily living. His thoughts were different from the usual presentations.

It was when I was involved in his early writings, typing them, that I began to appreciate his thoughts and how complex and different they were. He had always shared with me the reactions of those who heard his sermons and lectures. How I enjoyed that! I was so happy for him.

Thank you, Art, for giving me enlightenment and joy. I treasure those experiences.
