Once the Lord began to reveal the significance of the Levitical offerings to me during my personal Bible study time, I began to create charts and notes for future personal reference. At one point, a friend announced to others that I would be publishing a book about the Levitical offerings. It was not my original intention to do so; however, when the idea took root, I decided to write this book from a Hebraic perspective as opposed to a Greek one in order to reveal the mysteries of the Levitical offerings to everyone including Jews, Messianic Jews, Gentile Christians, and non-believers.

When I first began to share with others what I was learning about the Levtical offerings, my friends appeared to be greatly disturbed by my interest in the offerings and often expressed the opinion that they were antiquated. Having a personal interest in end time prophecy, I went to the book of Ezekiel where it seems to say that the offerings will be brought to the Lord during the millennial reign of Christ. I wondered if I was interpreting something wrong since practically everyone I had encountered believed there was no need for them to ever be offered again. Could it really be that the Levitical offerings will be brought to the Lord again in the future? If so, what reason could there be for this?

If you are new to studying the Bible from a Hebraic roots perspective, you may be startled to find your long-held doctrines challenged and your faith tested. Dig in to find out what the whole Bible teaches about the topics you’re interested in. Be willing to interpret the Bible in its original Hebraic cultural context and to understand it from the perspective of Jesus and His disciples who lived in the first century. Do your own research. Ask God questions and seek truth. Don’t just accept what church leaders have taught believers for centuries as truth. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to examine your beliefs or change your behavior in order to be conformed to what the whole Bible teaches.

For this study, I will refer to Yeshua as Jesus, and believers in the Messiah as Christians or believers since most are not familiar with Messianic Jewish terminology. Part of this study will compare the pattern of the Levitical offerings to other Biblical passages that share a similar pattern in order to expose the mysteries of the Levitical offerings. This is a Hebraic method of Bible study. The Bible is full of such parallels and I hope you find them as interesting and exciting as I do. Scripture quotations will be taken from the New King James Version so please be aware that the locations of quotations used in this book may be slightly different than those found in the TaNaCh (Hebrew Scriptures).

My primary goal is to show how Jesus fulfilled the patterns of these offerings instead of simply stating He did so without demonstrating how that was accomplished. In Matthew 5:17-20, Jesus explained that He came not to abolish the Torah but to complete or fulfill it. Part of that involved fulfilling the Levitical Sacrifices. Jesus fulfilled His portion of the Levitical sacrifices in His life and death and made it possible for the remaining shadows of the offerings to be fulfilled in the future.

Since believers are to be living sacrifices that are holy and acceptable to the Lord, you should see how each offering is manifested in the life of believers today and understand that the Levitical sacrifices will be offered again during the millennial reign of Christ in the future.

As you read this book, take time to answer the questions you encounter and feel free to discuss them with others who are also reading this book. If you run across Hebrew or Greek terms you are not familiar with, you can look them up in the glossary at the end of the study.

Having explained all this, let’s get started!
