There has been many to thank along the way that have influenced this journey in writing this book. As a whole, I would like to thank the professors of the institutions that fostered my higher education: Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University.

I acknowledge my beloved high school music director and mentor, John Rose, who first encouraged me to put my thoughts and ideas on paper and into practice. He guided me with motivation, direction, and love—I am forever grateful.

My first voice teacher, Kathleen Bell, who introduced me to the importance of vocal technique and health, and I also acknowledge her example of what the essence of teaching voice should embody—complete artistic growth from the inside out.
