ОглавлениеAcknowledgments
There has been many to thank along the way that have influenced this journey in writing this book. As a whole, I would like to thank the professors of the institutions that fostered my higher education: Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University.
Of course, it goes without saying that my family has always been my support system in all of my endeavors. To Carole (my mother), Ronald (my father), Olga (my grandmother), Fabienne (my sister), Marvin (my brother), and Anastasia (my cousin)—thank you!
I acknowledge my beloved high school music director and mentor, John Rose, who first encouraged me to put my thoughts and ideas on paper and into practice. He guided me with motivation, direction, and love—I am forever grateful.
My first voice teacher, Kathleen Bell, who introduced me to the importance of vocal technique and health, and I also acknowledge her example of what the essence of teaching voice should embody—complete artistic growth from the inside out.
Dr. Kathleen Wilson who inspired me to think outside the norms of teaching voice. She supported this journey with unwavering leadership.
To Shanpatrick Davis and to the many students that I teach and have taught—it is truly indescribable how much I have learned from all of you. Your excitement in the creation of this book was refreshing and encouraging. Your consistent belief in my abilities and me kept me going.
