Some Traits and Habits to Develop
ОглавлениеTo be a winner, you need to develop a winning attitude, personality, etc.
Here are some traits that are common in people who are winners, or who are successful with going after, and getting what they want.
One of the traits you need to develop is perseverance. When the road gets tough, the majority of people just detour off and never get to where they are going, some people stay where they are, complaining that there is a detour and some people just keep going.
You need to learn to never give up, because for most of us, nothing in life is just handed to us.
Most of our unrealized goals and dreams are because we either gave up or took the easy way out, the detour, which got us past the hard times, but does not take us where we want to go.
Alternatively, worse, we go nowhere. We sit in the middle of the hard times, angry that we are in them, but taking no action to get out of them; instead throwing blame around for the problem at hand.
We are guaranteed nothing except that we are born and that we die, what happens in between is up to us.
Acknowledge and expect that things will happen that are going to difficult to get through, and be positive that you can tackle anything. Believe that anything if possible and it will be.
Even when things get tough, know that your reward is coming to you if you just do not give up, and that will put you well on your way to being the winner you were born to be.
You are unique; embrace it. Every minute you spend trying to please somebody else, is time being taken away from time you should be pleased with yourself.
It is your life; you will never get ahead if you are always working on somebody else’s agenda.
Do not let the expectations of others define you; do not let the expectations of others pigeonhole you into being somebody you are not, or doing something you do not want to do.
Learn to prioritize your goals, including your daily to do list.
Being a winner means you know what a priority is and what is not, and you handle things as they come up, according to order of importance.
Lose the procrastination habit. Even if you have extra time for something, why wait?
You know what needs to be done so do it. Get it off your list, and feel that awesome feeling of satisfaction from getting something done and finished, especially something difficult.
How good do you feel when you finally overcome something that was especially hard to do? It feels good, right!
Now, imagine that if you stop procrastinating that you could feel that more often. That is the feeling of success, of being a winner.
Winning means that you are willing to take a risk in your gamble for getting what you want. Stop hedging your bets because you are afraid of the chance of losing.
Take a gamble, take a risk, and take a chance. Realize that you will not always win or come out on top on every situation, but do not let this deter you from trying.
Do not let the fear of losing prevent you from doing your best. Nobody is perfect. When you do make a mistake or if you do not succeed, turn it into a positive.
What could you have done better? Learn from it. Winners always take risks because they know if they do lose, they will always try again, and they will not give up until they win.
Winners also succeed because they are not afraid of making mistakes; they embrace them as a learning experience as well.
Never hold back because you think you might be wrong, or are not sure on a course of action. Make your decision and follow through.
When you make a mistake you can accept it and move on, be a winner, or you can stay stuck in place, going over the mistake repeatedly.
Do not focus on your mistakes, focus on what you can learn from them, use it, and be confident that you will not make that mistake again. Let it strengthen you.
When problems arise, you have three choices on how to handle it. You can say I will try; I will do, or walk away.
Which choice do you think makes you a winner? Remember Star Wars? Yoda said, “Do or do not... there is no try”.
Same thing should apply for you, when you tackle something, no matter if it is big or small, have the mindset that you will do it not just try.
When you get in the mindset that you are only going to try, that is as good as admitting that you are already accepting that you may fail, by trying. So do not try, you do.
