There are approximately 8.5 million takeoffs

per year at American airports, which is almost

moves over 40 percent of the world’s mail on any

given day.

The majority of people in the United States

speak English as their primary language, though

people from all over the world have come to live

here.

Cherokee is considered an endangered language,

though many are trying to ensure that the

language and culture survive, including the art

form of basket making.

There are more personal computers in the United

States than in the next four biggest purchasers

combined: Japan, China, Germany and the

United Kingdom.

We really like our popcorn here, eating over 17

billion quarts of popped popcorn every year. That

averages to over 65 quarts per person! We also

like our pizza, eating on average about 100 acres

of pizza every day or 350 slices every second!
