Frontispiece:

Chrome trim that surrounds the pedals denotes a car equipped with power brakes. The lack of that trim on this GTO indicates that it is a manual-brake car. Visible at the far left next to the brake-release handle is the knob that operates the air vents located in the kick panels.

Title Page:

The Sports Coupe shared many of the same lines as the hardtop examples, but with only 7,384 Sports Coupes produced in 1964, they are highly collectible. Even when the door window is lowered, the steel frame and trim are still visible.

Contents Page:

Pontiac successfully used the tiger marketing theme through the 1966 model year. Novelty items, including the tiger tail, were yet another way that the tiger image was used in the promotion of the GTO.
