You've given me this legacy;

I can say very little which says so much;

that my trust in others has diminished;

traveled out and is lost at bay;

I can not say that you specifically have made me this way;

this comes from years of lessons;

people unworthy of my love and time

have taken things I will never be able to get back;

So, what am I supposed to say?

That you'd fix it and it'd all be okay?

I wish I could with the hopes that it would;

crimes committed in private;

a destiny larger than my own;

and if you could just hold a moment of remorse

would that be enough for me?

My secrets are no longer in private;

god has shown them to the public to remind me of his power to turn my darkest hours into light.
