In 1928 The Readers Library, London, published all of these stories except "A Deal in Diamonds" under different titles and in a different sequence in a collection called Elegant Edward. This collection included a story with the title "Double Bluff" which did not, so far as can be ascertained, appear in The Sunday Post and for which no record of prior publication could found in the course of research from the present RGL edition of Elegant Edward.

The sequence of the stories in The Readers Library edition is as follows. The newspaper titles are included in parentheses.

1 The Rum-Runner (Edward Takes a Hand at Rum-Running)

2 Mr. Macmillan Shares His Possessions (Edward Embarks on a New Venture)

3 A Fortune in Tin (Back Again in Bonnie Scotland)

4 Papinico for the Scot (Mr. Farthingdale Meets His Match)

5 The Amateur Detective (Diamond Cuts Diamond)

6 Double Bluff (not published in The Sunday Post)

7 The Mack Pump (published without a title in The Sunday Post)

The new RGL edition of Elegant Edward contains all seven of the stories from The Sunday Post, together with the original illustratons, in the original sequence of publication, plus the additional story—"Double Bluff"—from The Readers Library edition.
