XVII. "Who robbed the woods?"
ОглавлениеWho robbed the woods,
The trusting woods?
The unsuspecting trees
Brought out their burrs and mosses

He scanned their trinkets, curious,
He grasped, he bore away.
What will the solemn hemlock,
What will the fir-tree say?
