The dog’s Frisbee flew into the living room floor lamp—the leaning, wobbly lamp closest the bedroom door. Ripped a hole straight through the lampshade and stayed there, neon orange and blue jutting out from beige. The impact turned the light on and knocked the three-level-brightness wiring back into working order. But the lampshade is torn beyond repair.
