ОглавлениеThis writer is hardly an island, about which the 17th Century poet, John Donne speaks. A wide world of experiences and persons has placed its stamp on the poems found here.Words, of any value, could not have been written without my wife, Mary, who has cared for me through several serious illnesses and has kept at bay many of the tasks I should have undertaken myself, I’m sure. Always the loving caretaker. My sons, Don and Steve, with their wives, Stephanie and Patty, have loved me well through all my idiosyncrasies. It is for my grandchildren most, Laura, Casey, Lindsey, and Daniel, I would suppose these poems were written. They likely don’t even believe I have strange behaviors, well perhaps. My special professors of the past in philosophy and world literature (Drs.Gordon Atkins, Bill Main, Ralph Hone, and French Fogle) have filled my head and soul with Beauty, as did my father and mother. I offer my deepest appreciation for all these specific ones loved and for my many students from whom I have learned, as well.
