Here is the basic technique for applying brads to a project. When using brads, be careful of the sharp ends.

1. Poke the sharp end of the brad through your foam pieces (A).

2. If you are attaching one piece to another, as in the strap shown, insert the end of the brad through a premade hole (B).

3. Flatten the ends of the brad using an awl or similar tool (C).
