2.1 THE MODERNIST PERSPECTIVE
ОглавлениеIn the pedagogic imagination of most language teachers around the world, the term ‘culture’ is associated with the context in which the language is lived and spoken by its native speakers, themselves seen as a more or less homogeneous national community with age-old institutions, customs and way of life. Culture is seen either as a humanistic or as a sociolinguistic concept, with the concept of the intercultural, that characterizes the contact between people from different cultures, being of concern to researchers in communication studies and in education.
