Prim little Miss Sonnet

Once ordered a bonnet;

The biggest and grandest that ever was seen.

And little Miss Sonnet

She said, "I will don it,

For I am quite sure it is fit for the Queen."

Then little Miss Sonnet

She put on lier bonnet,

And tied a true lover's knot under her chin;

And this wonderful bonnet

Had red roses on it,

With all of them fastened in place with a pin.

So little Miss Sonnet

Went out with her bonnet,

And strutted about for a while in the park;

When the wind took the bonnet

With little Miss Sonnet,

And blew them both up in the sky, like a spark.
