Case History 1: A couple with unexplained infertility are referred for IVF. During their workup the 31‐year‐old female is found to be positive for both hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and hepatitis B core antibody (anti‐HBc).

Case History 2: A couple with male factor infertility of 3 years duration are referred for ICSI. The female partner is found to be positive for hepatitis C infection.
