ОглавлениеBob Jessop is Distinguished Professor of Sociology at Lancaster University. He previously taught in the Department of Government at Essex University and has held visiting fellowships in the European University Institute, Florence, the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin (Madison), the School of Geography at Manchester University, and the Post-Growth College at the Friedrich Schiller University, Jena (Germany).
His research interests are state theory, critical governance studies, critical political economy, cultural political economy and welfare state restructuring. He has published extensively in books, anthologies and journal articles. His recent work includes: Towards a Cultural Political Economy (co-authored with Ngai-Ling Sum, Edward Elgar, 2013); The State: Past, Present, Future (Polity, 2015); Financial Cultures and Crisis Dynamics (co-edited with Brigitte Young and Christoph Scherrer, Routledge, 2014); Transnational Capital and Class Fractions: The Amsterdam School Perspective Reconsidered (co-edited with Henk Overbeek, Routledge, 2018) and The Pedagogy of Economic, Political and Social Crises: Dynamics, Construals, and Lessons (co-edited with Karim Knio, Routledge, 2019).
