Chapter 1

(Luke 3,23-38)

Matt. 1,1 The book of the generation of Yahshua the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

1. Chron 17,11; Genesis 22,18

Matt. 1,2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;

Genesis 21,3.12; 25,26; 29,35; 49,10

Matt. 1,3 And Judah begat Peres and Zerah of Thamar; and Perez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Aram;

Genesis 38,29.30; Ruth 4,18-22

Matt. 1,4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;

Matt. 1,5 And Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab; and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

Jos 2,1; Ruth 4,13-17

Matt. 1,6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

2. Sam 12,24

Matt. 1,7 And Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa;

1. Chron 3,10-16

Matt. 1,8 And Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;

Matt. 1,9 And Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;

Matt. 1,10 And Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;

Matt. 1,11 And Josiah begat Jechoniah and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

2 Kings 25

Matt. 1,12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealthiel; and Shealthiel begat Zerubbabel;

1. Chron 3,17; Esra 3,2

Matt. 1,14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

Matt. 1,15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

Matt. 1,16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Miriam, of whom was born Yahshua, who is called the Messiah.

Luke 1,27

* note: Bethel Editon: "Name 'Jesus'": A Greek-Latin name assumed to be that of the Hebrew Messiah and Savior. Its use is studiously avoided by all followers of YAHSHUA, whose Name means "YAHWEH is salvation."

Matt. 1,17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon to the Messiah are fourteen generations.

Matt. 1,18 Now the birth of Yahshua the Messiah was on this wise: When as his mother Miriam was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the holy Spirit.

Luke 1,35

Matt. 1,19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Matt. 1,20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of YAHWEH appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to you Miriam your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the holy Spirit.

Matt. 1,21 And she shall bring forth a son; and you shall call his name YAHSHUA (greek = Jesus); for he shall save his people from their sins.

Ps 130,8; Luke 2,21; Acts 4,12

* note: The title "Lord" means in hebrew: "Baal", it is the sun-god. The Bethel Edition Bible explain it: 'A Semitic word which translates "lord." The baalin (pl.) were various local idols made of wood, stone, etc. and worshiped by the Canaanites. Israel assimilated many elements of baal worship, causing YAHWEH to be highly displeased. Several of the baals are with us today, including Baal-Gad (the Lord God, Yahschua 11:17, 12:7, 13:5), Baal-Shalisha (the lord of the trinity, 2 Kings 4:42), and others.

Matt. 1,22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by YAHWEH by the prophet, saying,

Matt. 1,23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immanu El, which being interpreted is, Elohim (G-d) with us.

Matt. 1,24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of YAHWEH had bidden him, and took to him his wife:

Matt. 1,25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name YAHSHUA (Jesus = greek; but they spoke: hebrew - aramaic = Yahshua, that means: YAHWEH save!).

Luke 2,7

Chapter 2

Matt. 2,1 Now when Yahshua was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Luke 2,1-7

Matt. 2,2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to give homage to him.

Num. 24,17

Matt. 2,3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Matt. 2,4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where the Messiah should be born.

Matt. 2,5 And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

John 7,42

Matt. 2,6 And you Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the princes of Judah: for out of you shall come a Governor, who shall be shepherd of my people Israel.

Matt. 2,7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

Matt. 2,8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and do homage (!) him also (not exact and precise: worship).

Matt. 2,9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

Matt. 2,10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

Matt. 2,11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Miriam his mother, and fell down, and worshiped (= to do homage!!) him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Ps 72,10.15; Is.60,6

Matt. 2,12 And being warned of YAHWEH in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Matt. 2,13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of YAHWEH appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be you there until I tell you: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Matt. 2,14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Matt. 2,15 and was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by YAHWEH by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my Son.

Matt. 2,16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Matt. 2,17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

Matt. 2,18 “In Ramah was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.”

Genesis/Genesis 35,19

Matt. 2,19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of YAHWEH appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

Matt. 2,20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child‘s life.

Exodus 4,19

Matt. 2,21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

Matt. 2,22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there: and being warned by YAHWEH in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

Matt. 2,23 and he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fullfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

Luke 2,39; John 1,46

note: Return! or: convert! or: go in yourself! or: change your mind!

Prepare you the way of YAHWEH, make his paths straight!

2 Kings 1,8

Matt. 3,5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the region round about Jordan,

Matt. 3,6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

Matt. 3,7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said to them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

chap. 23,33

Matt. 3,8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance!

Matt. 3,9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say to you, that Elohim (G-d) is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.

John 8,33.39; Rom. 2,28.29; 4,12

Matt. 3,10 And now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Luke 13,6-9

Matt. 3,11 I indeed baptize you with water to repentance: but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the holy Spirit and with fire:

John 1,26.27.33; Acts 1,5; 2,3.4

Matt. 3,12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

John 13,6

Matt. 3,15 And Yahshua answering said to him, Suffer it to be so now/ Permit me now: for thus it becomes us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Matt. 3,16 And Yahshua, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the SPIRIT of YAHWEH descending like a dove, and lighting upon him;

Is.11,2

Matt. 4,5 Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Matt. 4,6 And said to him, If you are the Son of YAHWEH, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and in their hands they shall uphold, you, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.

Matt. 4,7 Yahshua said to him, It is written again, You shall not make trial of YAHWEH your Elohim (G-d).

Matt. 4,8 Again, the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Matt. 4,9 And said to him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.

chap. 16,26

Matt. 4,10 Then says Yahshua to him, Get you hence, Satan: For it is written, You shall worship YAHWEH your Elohim (G-d), and him only shall you serve.

Matt. 6,1 Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Is. 1,15

Mark 11,25.26

Is. 58,5-9

Matt. 6,17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

Luke 16,9.13; Jac. 4,4

Matt. 6,25 Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat (food), and the body than raiment?

Phil 4,6; 1 Peter 5,7; (25-33) Luke 12,22-31

Matt. 6,27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature?

Matt. 6,28 And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matt. 6,29 And yet I say to you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

1 Kings 10

Matt. 6,30 Wherefore, if YAHWEH so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Matt. 6,31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, How shall we be clothed?

Matt. 6,32 For after all these things do the nations (Gentiles) seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

Matt. 6,33 But seek you first the kingdom of YAHWEH, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

Matt. 7,4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me cast out (pull) the speck out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye?

Matt. 7,5 You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother's eye.

Matt. 7,6 Give not that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast you your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Matt. 7,10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Matt. 7,11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

chap. 25,12; 2 Tim. 2,19

Matt. 7,24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Matt. 7,25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
