hoods forked open flashing piston heads, Lincolns

with suicide doors,

throat-red interiors, steering wheels

spoked like spiderwebs —

we admired the catch, cowl induction

scoops spit-ragged clean, Mustangs with

cherry-red drive shafts, VWs small and tidy,
