Chapter 9

Оглавление

This warrior appeared to be about 7’ tall with strong, broad shoulders and arms. His beard was a snowy white and came down almost to his chest. On his right thigh was an emblazoned inscription that read, “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS”. When Heru read this he immediately fell to his knees and bowed his head in honor of this great warrior before him as was the custom that he had been raised to follow by his now deceased father. Seeing the bent head and slumped shoulders, the warrior reached down with a surprisingly soft touch and lifted Heru’s face to his.

Why do bow young warrior, when you are in the company of a brother and a friend?” asked the warrior.

Upon hearing the word friend, Heru’s head snapped up and his shoulders straightened. The blinding light coming from the warrior’s armor caused Heru to rub a hand across his eyes before he could look closer at the man in front of him. Heru got to his feet and began to look deeply into the eyes of the warrior, and as he looked into those eyes they looked into him. A love that no man can understand began to consume Heru and he felt a strength enter his spirit that could not be described with any mortal words. All the fear, doubt, condemnation faded away. Heru once again fell to his knees, but this time it was in worship because he knew that he was in the presence of Yeshua, his friend, rescuer, and brother.

“That was your voice in the village. The one that stopped the attack. Why is your appearance so very different from the last time we met?” Heru asked.

Yeshua reached down and once again pulled Heru to his feet as he replied, “The last time, you only needed a comforter and healer. This time you needed a savior and deliverer. You see Heru, I AM anything and everything that have ever needed and everything that you will ever need, I AM the I AM! There is nothing that you will ever need that I will not be able to provide for you. If you are in trouble, I AM your deliverer, if you need to be rescued, I AM your savior, if you need to be comforted, I AM your comforter, and the list can and does go on for eternity. I love you Heru and I will always be here for you if you need me. You have asked me into your heart and it is there that I will be. I can hear your every need even before you know that you have the need, so I AM always ready with the answer.”

As Yeshua finished speaking, Heru could feel himself being pulled back into his dreams, and upon waking, he knew that he could face whatever the new day would bring.
