Ever since Jupiter, your love planet, started travelling with Uranus, your love life has been unstable. Exciting yes. Interesting, yes. Filled with sudden surprises, yes. But highly unstable. As Jupiter moves away from Uranus – little by little – love will start to stabilize.

Those in existing marriages or relationships saw them severely tested. Fundamentally sound relationships survived, but there has been many a divorce and separation among you.

This has been an especially interesting love period for singles, as they have had more freedom to ‘follow the new’. Love came suddenly and could have left just as suddenly.

Jupiter is basically a slow-moving planet. He tends to stay in one sign and house for an entire year. But this year he is moving exceptionally fast – he actually moves through three signs and houses this year. He begins the year in Pisces, your 10th house. Then he moves into Aries (your 11th house) from January 22 to June 4. Then he moves into Taurus (your 12th house) from June 4 onwards. This is all highly unusual, and gives us important messages about love. First off, it shows that you are dating a lot, mixing with different kinds of people in different kinds of situations. Your needs in love – and your tastes – change relatively quickly.

This speedy movement of the love planet suggests that you have a lot of confidence in love and that you are making rapid progress towards your goals. Also you are in a ‘social smorgasbord’ now, tasting first this delicacy and now another – seeing what you like and what pleases you.

Marriage could easily have happened last year (and divorce, too) and can still happen this year. However, I prefer 2012 for marriage – especially if you are single working towards your first marriage.

You are idealistic in love, but you also want someone of high status and position, someone who can help your career. Yes, the passion of love is very important, but you want some ‘worldliness’ as well. As Jupiter moves into Aries (January 22 to June 4) you want friendship with the beloved. You want a relationship of equals. You instantly know whether a person is right for you or not. Again this is exciting, but your tendency might be to leap into serious relationships too quickly. After June 4 you become more conservative in love. More cautious. You want to give more time for love to develop. Again you become idealistic in love but with a need for worldliness. You don’t care if the beloved is of high status, but he or she needs to be a good provider.
