You begin your year in a yearly career peak. The power of your 10th house of career is really the main headline of the month. Half of the planets are either in or moving through the 10th house this month. (At least 70 and often 80 per cent of the planets are above the horizon as well.) This is a month for career success. Much progress is being made; pay rises, promotions and more recognition for your professional abilities are happening. (Sometimes a pay rise is covert rather than official, but management does things that increase your income – often through perks or other moves.)

With the planetary momentum forward this month, you should see faster progress to your career and other goals. Normally, strong forward planetary motion would make this an excellent period for starting new projects or launching new products. But in your case it is best to wait until after your birthday.

Mars, the ruler of your Horoscope, has been in your 7th house since November 13 of last year. So you have been very active socially – and quite popular. You’ve been there for your friends and beloved. You’ve put their interests first. But this is starting to taper off this month. The planetary power started to shift to the Eastern sector last month and this month on the 24th the shift gets even stronger. On the 4th Mars leaves your 7th house and enters the 8th house of transformation and regeneration. Your social goals are more or less achieved. You have been ‘people pleasing’ for a quite a while and now it is time to think of number one. Self-interest is often confused with selfishness. It is considered something ‘evil’. But sometimes the best way we can help others or be useful to others, is to achieve our personal goals – to be personally happy. Your interests are no less important than other people’s. You’re in a cycle where you need to focus more on yourself. You have great personal power (and it will grow in coming months). You have the power to create your own happiness – to create conditions in your life that please you. It’s up to you to use it, and to use it properly. It is time to be more independent and self-reliant.

Though this social life is tapering off, the month ahead looks socially active. The Moon will spend five days in your 7th house this month (usually she spends only two there), indicating there is more socializing from home and with the family. On the 24th the love planet Venus enters your 10th house, showing more socializing with people of high status and prestige. Your social skills enhance your career.

Health needs watching until the 20th. Be sure to get enough rest.
