An older gentleman once asked, “What qualifies you as a bestselling author at such a young age? How can you write about life when you're still in your twenties?” I answered him with confidence, “Life is merely a dash that starts at birth and ends at death. The dash represents a span of time that is compiled of events, seasons, occasions, decisions, actions, reactions, memories, sunshine, and rain. My dash is twenty-nine years long.” The gentleman stood with a smirk, yielding to reply. “Well,” he said, “if you can write a book, I can too. Would you help me to write mine?” After agreeing to his request, I realized that every life has a story. Every person has their own account to retell. My age compared to others may differ by many years; nevertheless I refuse to let anyone look down on me because I am young. I am determined to set an example for others in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. I have two stories to share; an old life and a new one. May both lifestyles inspire you to become a better person, in which you may recognize the old and the new person that lives within you also.
