Jordan is eight years old. His best friend is Richie. Jordan is a regular boy, active and athletic, but he’s also quite clever. Known to be a bit rascally and mischievous from time to time, but what boy isn’t?

Richie lives across the street from Jordan, he is nine years old, and he just had a birthday party two months ago.

Jordan and Richie walk into Jordan’s house from playing basketball at the park. Both the boys’ eyes bulge and jaw drops horrified to discover that Jordan’s mom has news for him…..she’s invited awful Brad to spend a week with them while his parents go to Mexico for his great-aunt’s funeral!

That by itself is horrifying enough news, but when Brad learns that Brad will be staying with them over his ninth birthday, he makes a huge stink about it.

Brad is the biggest birthday party hater out there; he’s always coming up with ways to ruin the neighborhood kids’ parties. No fair!
