In the forest Benny came across a playful squirrel. The squirrel had a bushy tail and loved to jump.

Benny was amazed by the way the squirrel could climb so high up the trees.

Benny asked the squirrel, «What do you do all day, dear squirrel?»

The squirrel replied, «I gather acorns, Benny! I collect them to have yummy food for the winter when the snow falls.»

Benny’s eyes widened in amazement. He watched as the squirrel scurried around, picking up acorns and tucking them into little hiding spots in the ground.

«Wow!» exclaimed Benny. «That’s so clever, dear squirrel! You save your acorns for later. I will remember that.»

The squirrel smiled. «If you ever need a snack in winter, Benny, come find me. I’ll share some of my acorns with you.»

As the sun began to set, it was time to say goodbye for now. Benny gave the squirrel a big bear hug and said, «Thank you for showing me how you gather acorns, dear squirrel. You’re a fantastic friend!»

The squirrel giggled and waved goodbye with its fluffy tail.

And so, Benny continued his journey through the enchanted forest, eager to meet more friends and discover the wonders that awaited him.
