The gentle rhythm of the ocean waves rocked the ship as it sailed from the USA to Africa. Emery stood on the deck, gazing at the horizon, and eagerly anticipated the adventures that awaited her on distant shores.

But suddenly, a loud clang echoed through the ship, accompanied by a series of ominous creaks and groans. Emery’s heart skipped a beat as she felt the ship shudder under her feet. Something was terribly wrong.

Panic swept through the ship as the crew tried to assess the situation. Emery’s friends and classmates gathered around her, concern and confusion written on their faces. What started as a journey full of excitement and anticipation has now turned into chaos.

As the minutes passed, it became clear that the ship was in trouble. With grim determination, the captain made the difficult decision to abandon ship. Lifeboats were lowered into the water, and the children were hurriedly transferred onto them, in the chaos everyone was separated from their friends and classmates.

Emery watched helplessly as the ship got smaller and smaller in the distance, and her heart was heavy with uncertainty. She had never felt so alone, surrounded by nothing but the endless ocean stretching in all directions.
