Prologue

Оглавление

“Live your life” – three simple words that hold the secret of humanity. Years pass by amid miles of social media posts, the race for a “success story”, and the desire to prove your worth to others. With them fades the sense of your true self, genuine desires and purpose. We forget how to feel like our authentic selves. We forget how to live our own lives.

In the daily hustle, people hear their inner voice less and less, their true desires muffled. Why? Because there’s always a push for bigger, faster, more creative and “unique” – yet the specifics remain elusive in a world of clip mentality [1].

I am someone who lives at very high speeds. Yet, even I reached a point where my thoughts became tangled, my inner state restless, and something whispered, “It’s time for change. It’s time to change everything.”

It was time to pause, take a breath and understand where I was going, why, how long for, and for what purpose – what part of my multifaceted life was truly ABOUT ME?

If this book has found you consider it a gift from fate, the universe, or higher powers – whichever resonates with you. By reading it, you will already take a step toward yourself, initiating an irreversible process of decisions, actions and opportunities that will likely lead you to your Point B. And for those who can turn theory into practice it’s a ticket to their dream life – business class, non-stop.

This book isn’t about a life story (you won’t find that here). This book is about a person who fell and got back up, someone who ended up in millions of dollars of debt from a single miscalculation yet always believed in herself and her dreams.

Just imagine for a second that you’re in a session with a therapist. What verbs would you use to describe yourself in your own life? An experienced professional could identify one of the reasons your goals remain on pause, falling into the category of “it’d be nice to have a house by the sea and maybe a small car.”

“To listen and to hear”, “to look and to see” are pairs of verbs that have similar meanings yet are fundamentally different. Everyone must determine for themselves whether they are in the passive stage of “listening and looking” or the active one of “hearing and seeing.”

In this book, I’ll explain why it’s essential to feel your life. Each chapter reveals a method that has become a part of my journey from Point A to Point B. Six truths, six principles that helped a girl who couldn’t even afford a loaf of bread reach a point where she travels across Europe, Australia, and Asia, easily builds friendships and professional relationships and designs her life exactly as she wants.

Everyone creates their own recipe for life – so why not borrow a few ingredients from mine?

Clip mentality is a type of consciousness in which a person processes information through short formats and vivid images, quickly shifting from one piece of information to another due to a superficial level of engagement with its essence. – Author’s note
