Introduction
ОглавлениеWhen I decided to pursue my dream of writing a book on the teachings of the Lord and the positive effects it can have in our lives, I had to put aside many uncomfortable experiences that had happened to me in the various churches that I had attended in my life.
I wanted to give others like myself an option. If I were to describe this choice, I would prefer to call it: loving Jesus with no strings attached. Throughout this book, I will share with you the experiences I have had, that without a shadow of a doubt, prove to me the Lord is as real as the wind you feel on your face or the star you see in the sky.
I will also share the experience of when, without my knowledge, I was engaging in activities that I should not have been, and was warned by God, even though I would not admit it to myself until later in life.
I’ve also learned to have faith in the Lord’s actions, and although it is a tragic occurrence in life we experience, I was even able to find God’s words of strength when murder enters a family’s life. I have my own story that gives me no doubt that Jesus was with my close friend when she was murdered, even though I would not find out the truth until several years later.
I have asked my God to allow me to dedicate my soul to learning from Him, and no longer wish to call myself a Christian, since I have decided to live a different type of life with Christ. A man recently killed 77 people and called himself a Christian. There is nothing I can do or say to deny this; therefore I cannot share any kind of similar description with this man. I’ll leave this title for people who have some sort of belief in Christ. I want to gather others and lead them forward with a title that displays our unshakable faith.
I am shocked by the number of angry Christians I encounter on a daily basis. The titles angry Christian and Christian without faith are interchangeable to me, after reading the Bible. This is another reason to allow them to hate under the title of Christian. Jesus says that I cannot.
Jesus will improve your life if you’ll allow His teachings into your life. I think that some people may have been mislead by others for personal gain. I don’t find Jesus’ political party affiliation or His enemies list in the pages of the Bible. The facts are just not there, but this isn’t necessarily your fault. It’s evident that the majority of Christians receive their message from a human who relays bits and pieces of information to them each week. You may have actually been tricked into accepting something as God’s will without any validation of your actions by the words of Jesus Christ. His word rules the world. No word from any reverend, disciple, priest, etc. will ever be accepted by a 490 as law if it violates the instructions of Christ. Only He is perfect and without flaw. Christ was no doubt righteous when He corrected the misunderstanding that the people had in the law given by Moses about divorce. His word is truth above all others. He is the Son of the Living God, sent to correct lessons not learned and to speak to those who have forgotten that we, although miles apart, are still brothers, and we are to love all others who God created. Whether they know their Father or not, He loves them. Do not parents love their children unconditionally? How much more of a Father is He to us all?
Jesus answers questions that even some of today’s Christians have not discovered. My thoughts on praying have been entirely restructured by His word. He even tells us that most prayers will go unanswered. I’ll be glad for you to read His word for yourself, but prayer seems too common and convenient today.
What I’ve always seen from the Christian lifestyle is a tendency towards easy church, hard life. I was in a bank recently, and a lady I know was also there. She asked me how I had been, and invited me to her church. “We have a new pastor, and he is really good”(her exact words). I thanked her, and we parted ways. I acknowledge that it was extremely polite of her to invite me, but her words stuck in my head. What does it mean for a pastor to be really good? Is this pastor a compelling speaker? Is he a talented performer? Is he a believable actor?
With all this discussion, I see no reason to start lying to you now. The church I want us to strive for will be a difficult church to attend. This church follows a difficult church, easy life type of structure. You will not be attending a performance on Sunday morning. We will use the instruction manual given to man by God in its entirety. We will not discuss one Bible passage for three hours, skipping over those that we honestly don’t want to hear about because they clash with how we want to live our lives today.
This is what I do promise you. If you decide that the creation of a 490 church in your area is something you would like to undertake, after years at your 490 church, your priorities are going to change. You can have the weight of the world lifted from your shoulders.
I know it’s true, because things I desired no longer matter and the things I took for granted became more valuable than gold. It is a fantastic feeling.
Allow me to assure you that I’m not starting a church with franchise fees. I don’t want any fees for anyone to create a Learn of Me Worship Center. A 490 church can be used by anyone who would like to use it. I believe this will lead to less anger, jealousy, and greed of which Jesus didn’t speak highly. I would like to be the administrator of the www.learnofmeworshipcenter.com website which can be used to locate 490 churches, connect members with locations and announce 490 member achievements as well as a community area for questions and solutions. There will be no church agenda.
As a member of a 490 church, you may find comfort in knowing that you don’t have to stop attending the Christian center of which you may be a member. This can even be a Christian center that your family has attended for generations. As we encourage our congregations to feel free to add our service to their usual Sunday routine, we hope that these Christian centers will not discriminate against those who want to attend our church also on Sundays.
We expect our congregation to be smart and inquisitive while learning to be faithful. I do hope that the congregation of each 490 church will put the ideas mentioned in this book to good use. I truly believe that this can be a new way to bring millions of people to the word of Christ in an exceptionally peaceful manner.
We hope that you will join us in discovering answers for everyone.
