MANDY COLLINS studied journalism and started her career writing about television – first for a trade paper of the local film and television industry, and then as the TV reporter for the Sunday Times. After spending some time in the newspaper’s features section she moved into the world of consumer magazines, as features editor on a woman’s monthly magazine where her health-writing career began in earnest. She currently freelances for a number of publications, writing on issues of health, childcare and parenting, and is a regular health columnist for two major women’s magazines.
